I have just started using cs 2 but after a few days i'm no longer able to connect to my router. There is no light on the network port. Does anyone know what to do?

I had a similar problem, and that was a faulty network cable.

Try another network cable, and connect it while CS2 is powered off - then power on the CS2 to see if the port lights up as a first step to find the problem.

"no light on the network port", is that on the router or the CS2?

No light usually means a dud cable, but if a port is inactive on either side it could mean a more expensive problem.
Have you tried to switch the network connection to another port in your router?

Hi!
Maybe just bad contact of the plug. Push the plug in as far as it goes (when the latch snaps in you can still move it a little bit further).

Tom

Hi Arild,
I work with various network devices, and have experienced some unusual problems. This might be a long shot, but worth a try before sending away for repair.
1. If set with a static IP address, try switching back to DHCP and reboot CS. Does it aqiure a new address? Then try static IP again.
2. Reload firmware for CS, as I have had many network devises fail due to corrupt firmware.
This is most common on devices that have the network port built into the main circuit board Component.
3. See if you can set the port speed say to 100mbps full duplex, auto may be default. Have had devices become non responsive on a network due to not been able to auto negociate network speed correctly. Even try 10 mbps.

Cheers,
Brian.
